Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt donate £1.2m to African wildlife sanctuary

First celebrity post for 2011 and by golly, it's about the lovely Angelina Jolie & partner Brad Pitt. (Yes, I obsess about them. Gimme a break!)

The angelic couple celebrated Christmas day at an African wildlife sanctuary in Namibia and donated £1.2million ($1.9million).

The actress gave birth to their daughter Shiloh in Namibia in 2006 and the couple maintain strong ties with the country.

They returned at Christmas with Shiloh, four, and her five siblings and Angelina said: “We want her to grow up with an understanding of her country of birth.”

The family stayed at the Naankuse Wildlife Sanctuary, which looks after mostly orphaned or injured animals, including lions, leopards, cheetahs and baboons.

The sanctuary, run by Dr Rudie van Vuuren and wife Marlice, were given the money as the couple left.

Angelina, 35, said: “We have known Rudie and Marlice for many years and continue to be impressed by their hard work and dedication to the people and conservation of the land and wildlife of Namibia.”

Can anyone honestly say that this two aren't the best Hollywood couple? No, I don't think so. They're so generous, humble, and most importantly, doing what they can to save humanity, nature, and probably, even, the world.
