Alex Pettyfer for Peeta Mellark or Jace Wayland?

Newly rising star Alex Pettyfer better make a decision (and fast!) on which part he wants to play the most. Will he choose to be Peeta Mellark (The Hunger Games) or Jace Wayland (The Mortal Instruments)? MTV had the chance to ask Pettyfer himself.

Pettyfer told MTV at the Premiere of his flick I Am Number Four that he is certainly not leaning to anywhere (THG or TMI) at the moment. "I love the books and I want to see what happens with them," he added. MTV then asks when he'll make the decision to which he replied "I don't know. One day soon." Also, I've read around the internet that people want Pettyfer to be Jace Wayland rather than see him as Peeta Mellark. According to what I've read, they think that Pettyfer has the edge that Peeta doesn't seem to project, therefore making him the perfect Jace. I, for one, haven't read The Mortal Instruments yet so I have no idea what Jace's character is like. Ever since I read The Hunger Games, sure, I immediately pictured Jeremy Sumpter as Peeta when he was younger but when Pettyfer came into view, I thought he'd be perfect for the role. He's like what I imagined Peeta would look like (next to Sumpter lol).

Hunter Parrish

Another thing I've read is that people, on the other hand, want Weeds actor Hunter Parrish to play Peeta instead. They said he'd be the perfect loyal sweetheart that everyone would love, including Katniss.

But for me, whether it'd be Pettyfer or Parrish be Peeta, it won't matter because I think they both can fit the role perfectly.
