Don't you just love American Idol? Well, I do. I missed the show so much therefore I watched the first episode of the season earlier. First day of the auditions was at Boston with guest judge, former Spice Girl, Victoria Beckham.
There were some people who stood out to me and one of them was definitely Tyler Grady. I thought at first he was one of those weirdos who likes to make a fool of themselves on television, but I was wrong. So very wrong. There were casts on both of his wrists due to his fall from a tree. Now, the bones on his wrists are now replaced by titanium plates. Kind of sad to think that he's a drummer. He sang Marvin Gaye's "Let's Get It On" and the judges loved it. Especially the girls. He was then given the golden ticket to Hollywood.
I'm gonna keep an eye on him. I hope he gets through even to the top 24.
I also liked Amadeo Diriccio. He's your typical Italian-American and I think he has a good personality. Simon even said that, when he auditioned, it was his favorite of the day.
And the last one I'm gonna mention is Leah Lorenti. She sang "Blue Skies" and I thought she was very good, so she's going to Hollywood.
All in all, there were 31 people who got through to the next round. There were others I also liked but just too lazy to mention.
Can't wait for day 2 of Boston, although I might just watch it on replay. :(
Oh man, I miss Jason Castro of Season 7. And he's married now! *sob* :'(
