Actors absent on the 83rd Academy Awards

I'm a bit disappointed with the Oscars this year mainly because there were a lot of actors who weren't present like Inception lead actor Leonardo DiCaprio and his co-star Joseph Gordon-Levitt as well as any other Inception cast. Maybe they're all busy filming a movie and since none of them were really nominated, they decided not to come or maybe Leo is just disappointed as well since he was snubbed again by the Academy.

OMG! I can't believe this is happening. I read before that this project wasn't going to continue but thankfully, Emma Watson just confirmed on her facebook and twitter accounts that it is definitely going to happen!

Who is your favorite Death Eater?

I've never really thought about it but, even though they are villains in the Harry Potter series, you've got to have a favorite, at least one.

Death Eaters, if you haven't heard already, are the followers of the Dark Lord aka Lord Voldemort aka Tom Marvolo Riddle. Seriously, how many names does Voldy have. J.K. Rowling is such a genius. I mean, can you honestly think of a better term to call the loyal servants of He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named? I didn't think so.

There are a number of Death Eaters, some who are very honored to be a part of it, like Bellatrix Lestrange of course, and some who are just scared that's why they're a part of it, Draco Malfoy for example. I know he's just a new recruit at the start of the 6th book but he still has the Dark Mark upon his left forearm so yeah, that makes him a Death Eater nonetheless.

Well, I'm not going to mention every Death Eater. That'll take me forever. Maybe not entirely true but I have no interest in the others.

There's Bellatrix. So loyal and loves Voldy so dearly.

Of course we wouldn't miss Wormtail. The one who turned over the Potters to Voldemort out of cowardice.

The "double agent" Death Eater who played both of his parts very well indeed. Voldemort thought Snape was loyal to him but in fact his loyalty lies within Dumbledore.

Draco Malfoy who was forced to become a Death Eater because if he didn't become one, Voldemort would kill him and his family. Terrible, I know.

But I think Lucius is my favorite among the Death Eaters. He has got class and for me, he is practically royalty. Look at that pose. He is inexplicably terrifying and, not to mention, handsome. Who wouldn't want a Death Eater like that? LOL

A Harry Potter star's secret daughter?

I think I've not heard anything recently that is so, as Hermione would put it, pathetically dimwitted. According to Hollywooddame.com, the postcard above was sent to Post Secret claiming that one of the Harry Potter stars is the father of her daughter. Of course, the postcard was signed anonymously, clearly no evidence at all. What was this woman thinking?

Who doesn't want to have one-night stands with the actors above? LOL.

This is a laughing matter, seriously.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Review

I've just seen the movie a few hours ago and I have to admit, it was kind of disappointing.

The film was super compressed that it's like seeing a movie full of gaps between them. If one hasn't read the book or forgot the story, he/she wouldn't quite get a grasp on what's going on. You have to read the book first or read it again to understand the movie. There were so many changes, so many were extracted that you have no idea what's happening. You're always gonna ask "How did that happen?"

I knew I couldn't expect much from David Yates. He failed to amuse me with the Order of the Phoenix & the Half-Blood Prince, and now the Deathly Hallows. His treatment with the film is that it was too melancholic. For me, there wasn't too much excitement. The scoring was too quiet, if not none at all. The frames were it all fades to black happened twice or three times, it was almost like watching a TV show where a subtitle could appear and say "To be continued."

It's so sad that the film didn't do justice to the book, but of course, we are talking about David Yates here so no surprise there. As you all know, I am an HP fanatic and I would never bring down HP. This review is just my opinion.

Let's just hope that the last part, showing on July 2011, would be a hell lot better, if not, best. *crosses fingers*

As we all wait for the 7th film part 1 of the Harry Potter series to come out in theatres, I decided to check what the critics are saying about the film over at rottentomatoes. Of course, there are bad and good reviews. It can't be helped. Everyone has their own opinions and views about absolutely anything.

Let's run down on some of the comments that were said:

1. "Often just seems to be going round in very decreasing circles, chasing its own fairytale."- David Golder, SFX Magazine

2. "While The Deathly Hallows is not the best film in the series, it hardly matters. Too many people have invested too much in Harry Potter, they will not bear to miss the finale, or even his bleak and inconclusive prelude to the dark." - Michael Bodey, The Australian

3. "The first part of the last part is dark, dismal, and frankly, disappointing." - Paul Byrnes, Sydney Morning Herald 

4. "Exposition heavy, Potter 7: Part One is an entertaining but flawed prelude to the real finale." - Martin Roberts, Fan the Fire

5. "Hallows's first hour is deadly, all right." - David Edelstein, New York Magazine (TOP CRITIC)

 My point-of-view about the bad comments: The 6th comment really did an impact on me because I too think that ever since Chris Columbus decided to leave Harry Potter, the films weren't doing justice to the books. It's like the films sucked out the magic that you'd have to experience once you've read the books. Ever since David Yates directed the Potter series, for me, it wasn't great. Of course, I didn't admit it at first, but Yates' directing isn't too good. But since it's Harry Potter we're talking about, I'll say it is good. Although, up until now, I wish Columbus directed all the films and it would've been much, much better.

I still haven't seen the film but I will write a review once I have. I hope these last 2 films won't disappoint me.

Rupert Grint: I want someone who's weird

Rupert Grint has confirmed he has never been in love. (YES! *ahem*)

'I've never been seriously involved with anyone,' says Rupert.

'I've certainly never been in love. I've always preferred to keep things casual. I don't feel the need to have a girlfriend.'

Rupert, 20, admits he's picky when it comes to finding the perfect partner.

'I tend not to go for the very pretty ones,' he tells Live.

'I prefer the quirkier types, the ones who are a little weird.'

College for Emma Watson

Emma Watson, who is most known as the brainy Hermione Granger in the Potter series, has confirmed that she will be attending Brown University in the United States. "I've got a place there to read literature," the 19-year-old actress told Paste Magazine. Watson, who must be every bit the striving brainiac that her alter ego Hermione Granger is, toured the Ivy League school this past fall. She reportedly Yale and Columbia universities in the US and the University of Cambridge across the pond before choosing Brown.

Daniel Radcliffe has a Girlfriend!

Nooooo!

Daniel Radcliffe, also known as "The Boy Who Lived" or as we all know as Harry Potter, admitted that he has a girlfriend. He told STAR Magazine, "My girlfriend is Laura O'Toole, and she was in Equus with me, but I don't really want to talk about that, because she's not here and it's not fair. Sorry!" Dan said before that he was into older women, but no Madonna for him.

Radcliffe's costar, Rupert Grint, who plays Ron Weasley in the Harry Potter franchise, confirmed that the two are still going strong and denied the rumors about them breaking up.

Not good for me.

Freddie Stroma is the newest Hottie in town!

Have you seen the latest Harry Potter film, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince?

Well, if you haven't, then I guess you wouldn't know who Freddie Stroma is just yet.

He's a British newcomer and is just making every girl's (and gay's) heart palpitate madly. Like mine. He plays Cormac McLaggen in the 6th HP film, a Gryffindor who tries out as their Keeper in Quidditch and has a thing for Hermione Granger (played by Emma Watson).

Although, sadly for the girls, Freddie has a girlfriend that is non-showbiz and they've been dating for some 2 and a half years now. Ouch!

You might also find it interesting that there's a video of him, circulating around the internet, dancing only in his underwear! I haven't seen it but I'll probably soon. I just don't want to extinguish the suspense just yet.

I think we'll be seeing more of Freddie in the future... I hope!

Isn't this amazing?

In a chat with The Daily Beast last week, Radcliffe said, "I'd like to take this opportunity to issue a public invitation to the Obamas that if their daughters would like a private tour of the 'Harry Potter' set, I would be honored to be their personal tour guide." 

Can you imagine? Daniel Radcliffe as your personal tour guide on the 'Harry Potter' set!
