A Harry Potter star's secret daughter?

I think I've not heard anything recently that is so, as Hermione would put it, pathetically dimwitted. According to Hollywooddame.com, the postcard above was sent to Post Secret claiming that one of the Harry Potter stars is the father of her daughter. Of course, the postcard was signed anonymously, clearly no evidence at all. What was this woman thinking?

Who doesn't want to have one-night stands with the actors above? LOL.

This is a laughing matter, seriously.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Review

I've just seen the movie a few hours ago and I have to admit, it was kind of disappointing.

The film was super compressed that it's like seeing a movie full of gaps between them. If one hasn't read the book or forgot the story, he/she wouldn't quite get a grasp on what's going on. You have to read the book first or read it again to understand the movie. There were so many changes, so many were extracted that you have no idea what's happening. You're always gonna ask "How did that happen?"

I knew I couldn't expect much from David Yates. He failed to amuse me with the Order of the Phoenix & the Half-Blood Prince, and now the Deathly Hallows. His treatment with the film is that it was too melancholic. For me, there wasn't too much excitement. The scoring was too quiet, if not none at all. The frames were it all fades to black happened twice or three times, it was almost like watching a TV show where a subtitle could appear and say "To be continued."

It's so sad that the film didn't do justice to the book, but of course, we are talking about David Yates here so no surprise there. As you all know, I am an HP fanatic and I would never bring down HP. This review is just my opinion.

Let's just hope that the last part, showing on July 2011, would be a hell lot better, if not, best. *crosses fingers*

Rating for this movie: 3/5

Harry Potter on RottenTomatoes.com

As we all wait for the 7th film part 1 of the Harry Potter series to come out in theatres, I decided to check what the critics are saying about the film over at rottentomatoes. Of course, there are bad and good reviews. It can't be helped. Everyone has their own opinions and views about absolutely anything.

Let's run down on some of the comments that were said:

1. "Often just seems to be going round in very decreasing circles, chasing its own fairytale."- David Golder, SFX Magazine
2. "While The Deathly Hallows is not the best film in the series, it hardly matters. Too many people have invested too much in Harry Potter, they will not bear to miss the finale, or even his bleak and inconclusive prelude to the dark." - Michael Bodey, The Australian
3. "The first part of the last part is dark, dismal, and frankly, disappointing." - Paul Byrnes, Sydney Morning Herald
4. "Exposition heavy, Potter 7: Part One is an entertaining but flawed prelude to the real finale." - Martin Roberts, Fan the Fire
5. "Hallows's first hour is deadly, all right." - David Edelstein, New York Magazine (TOP CRITIC)

6. "A film with no beginning and no end but a whole lot of expository middle, this is the least satisfying installment in the series since Chris Columbus folded up his director's chair." - Tom Huddleston, Time Out
7. "An unfamiliar new setting does little to diminish the humour, heart and excitement of the Harry Potter franchise on form." - Charlie Lyne, Film4
8. "On the evidence of this, his penultimate film, the teenage wizard is getting the send-off he deserves." - David Edwards, Daily Mirror UK
9. "Good enough, even for those of us who have no idea what's going on once the plot resorts to Potterbabble. "  - Joshua Tyler, CinemaBlend.com
10. "A flawed decision to split the final installment of the Harry Potter books into two films results in a formless narrative that overstays its welcome." - Cole Smithey, ColeSmithey.com

My point-of-view about the bad comments: The 6th comment really did an impact on me because I too think that ever since Chris Columbus decided to leave Harry Potter, the films weren't doing justice to the books. It's like the films sucked out the magic that you'd have to experience once you've read the books. Ever since David Yates directed the Potter series, for me, it wasn't great. Of course, I didn't admit it at first, but Yates' directing isn't too good. But since it's Harry Potter we're talking about, I'll say it is good. Although, up until now, I wish Columbus directed all the films and it would've been much, much better.

I still haven't seen the film but I will write a review once I have. I hope these last 2 films won't disappoint me.

Johnny Depp on Angelina: "She's a really cool broad."

Johnny Depp has revealed how he bonded with Angelina Jolie on their first ever meeting - by talking about their children.
Hollywood's most popular stars had never met before being called to discuss starring in an action thriller called The Tourist.
But as soon as Depp started talking about his two children and Jolie her brood of six they found they had much in common.

'We sat there and babbled about our kids, and it was a huge relief,' said Depp.
'I was pleasantly surprised that she has an incredibly perverse sense of humour. She's a really cool broad.'
The pairing of Depp and Jolie, the two most popular actors in Hollywood, is a casting agents dream come true.
They appear in The Tourist with Jolie playing a seductive English woman on the run from Russian mobsters.
The film is expected to be one of the biggest box office hits of 2010.
Jolie admitted in an interview with Entertainment Weekly magazine that she had been nervous waiting to meet 47-year-old Depp.
But she said she relaxed when she saw photos of his girlfriend Vanessa Paradis and their children in his Hollywood office.
'As I was waiting, I noticed these beautiful pictures,' she said.
'He's an artist, and you feel that in any space he's in. When he walked in, he was as interesting as I'd hoped he be.'
Jolie,35, admitted she was a huge fan of Depp and had watched his performance of the Mad Hatter in Alice in Wonderland numerous times with her children and partner Brad Pitt.

The Tourist starring Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp will be in cinemas, December this year. This is my dream movie, to have two of the biggest stars in Hollywood and I can't believe it finally came true!

The Vampire Diaries S02E09: Katerina

I'm gonna tell you again: SPOILER ALERT!!!

So here I am again, talking about the latest episode of the Vampire Diaries. I don't have much to say about this episode, mainly because I didn't like it that much. It involved a lot of Katherine's past, not that I'm not interested in that, it's just that I think I'm more interested with the things that are happening, not the things that happened, if you know what I mean.

I'm not gonna tell the story this time, instead I'll just say here what I thought about what happened in the episode.

Some disappointments:
  1. Tyler was not in this episode - Well, maybe it wasn't his episode. Maybe he'll have his own ep soon but I was so eagerly waiting on what will happen to him... and maybe Caroline too.
  2. Damon slept with Rose - Although I knew that was bound to happen sooner or later, I just didn't expect it to be sooner.
  3. Elena helped (sort of) Katherine - I think it was stupid of Elena to do such a thing. But it happened and she did what she had to. Oh well, life goes on.
Interesting points:
  1. New warlock in town - Yup, you guessed it. A male witch. Not sure if he's good or evil. We'll just have to find out.
  2. Damon's hot body - Oops. Well it is supposed to be here. ;)

Damon Salvatore is the Ultimate Sexy Beast

Okay, this is probably too late to announce since Damon won like 2 weeks ago but I'm still posting it here because that's how sexy he really is. I'm not making much sense, although, we ARE talking about Damon Salvatore. Why make sense?

As you all know, Damon Salvatore is a character in The Vampire Diaries that is played by the hot Ian Somerhalder. EW recently did a poll on "Who's the Sexiest Beast?" and, what do you know? Damon Salvatore took home the crown beating Twilight's Edward Cullen in the finals. I'm so happy he did too.

The Vampire Diaries Season 2 officially premiered last Thursday night (Sept. 9, 2010) and I just have to say that there couldn't have been no other way to start off the 2nd season. I'm so glad that I watch this series, it's just soooo good. I can't wait for episode 2. Please come sooner.

Before I leave, I'd like to congratulate the very hot, the very sexy Damon Salvatore for winning America's Sexiest Beast. He definitely deserved it.
